Recently two of my children have decided they want to dress up as Aang and Zuko from Avatar the last airbender for Youmacon this year. My question for you lovelies is what patterns could I use? I haven't found any actual patterns for Zuko or even Aang, are there ones that any of you found that need little changing in order to suit the characters?

I'm making a four-paneled miniskirt, worn at the hips, for my cosplay and I've been through a bunch of free pattern tutorials on the interwebs but they all say something slightly different when it comes to taking top and bottom measurements.  I'm using a stretchy nylon/lycra so I don't need elastic and I definitely don't think I need to use a ( Read more... )

I have two quick questions.

Question the first: I'm trying to make Robin's mask and I'm wondering if there's anyway to make the "lenses" an opaque white and still be able to see through them. Does anyone know of any plastic or fabric that would work for a mask and give this effect?
